Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all-general accounting functions including preparation and analysis of period, quarterly and annual financial operational and capital budgets, financial forecast, efficiency reports, and preparation of various statistical analysis of operations to include cost accounting.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for providing division staff with guidance, assistance, and advice on all financial matters.

Responsibilities
  • Work with and/or oversee the preparation of accurate cost cards for all products produced.
  • Publish financial statements, review, and analyze.
  • Provide assistance in preparation of annual budgets.
  • Perform General Ledger review and analysis. Coordinate general ledger account codes and classifications with corporate staff.
  • Ability to work and interact with various department managers, President, and corporate office personnel.
  • Preparation and analysis of all financial data for management’s use including production and efficiency reports.
  • Oversee duties as purchasing agent for Bakery division such that ingredients and packaging material meet specifications and price guidelines.
  • Review and develop policies for Purchasing, Inventory Control, Receiving and Credit.
  • Managing, controlling, and reporting all aspects of the credit process in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Plan and schedule all incoming material to meet projected production needs while controlling inventory levels to prevent out of stock or over stocked problems.
  • Coordinate with Division Controller the development of new Cost Cards and perform comprehensive reviews of existing Cost Cards ensuring accuracy of product cost.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. 

Experience Requirements

Five plus years experience with Bakery manufacturing and financial experience. Knowledge of product cost, financial forecasting, and control.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
