Job Title: Supervisor - Warehouse Job Description:

Responsible for the direction and coordination of all warehousing activities in the facilities including, but not limited to, the receiving, unpacking, checking in and storage of materials and the maintenance of inventory control records.

Essential Functions and Activities:
  • Coordinates and supervises the work of warehouse personnel daily.
  • Oversees the Inspection of incoming and outgoing products, packaging, as well as initial determination of product damages.
  • Investigates shipment discrepancies and resolve.
  • Manages inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts and audits of same to verify results.
  • Ensures correct information is entered into JDE system for inventory accuracy.
  • Ensures that materials are delivered to work centers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensures products are handled properly to minimize damage and preserve quality.
  • Approves time and attendance of all hourly team.
  • Ensures that housekeeping and visual workplace requirements are maintained.
  • Monitors performance of team members and administers corrective action when necessary.
  • Schedules and coordinates vacations of team members.
  • Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s PPS team efforts.
  • Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer-focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma plus some vocational training
  • 2-3 years’ warehouse experience in a manufacturing / lean environment- JIT
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems (JDE Knowledge a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to motivate others to build a team environment
