JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the finance function and providing analysis and control for the financial performance of the plant. This position ensures timely and accurate reports as required by Corporate Financial Staff and Site Management. Develops budgets for all manufacturing departments. Ensures relevant and effective performance measurements and communication to Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Enter Responsibilities/Essential Duties

Complete monthly analysis of balance sheet activity, specifically identifying currency exposures and regular reconciliation of inter-company accounts.

Ensure all cash settlements for hedging activity are completed accurately.

Establish and maintain key company wide relationships, (e.g. Operations Controller, Corporate Controller, Treasury, Tax Director, etc).

Establish and maintain key external relationships, (e.g. HMCE, Inland Revenue, Lawyers, Auditors, Grant Authorities, Surveyors, Suppliers and other advisors).

If applicable, supervise and oversee outsourced activities related to all Accounting transactions and entries, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxes calculations and payments, Costs and Purchasing process as it relates to Finance. Ensure activities are accurate and on time according to local laws and to corporate guidelines.

May have oversight associated with Payroll, Fixed Assets, VAT accounting, Accounts Payable and Account Receivables depending on location.

Oversee corporate, federal and local taxes and reporting for location.

Prepare cost analysis including standard cost, plant cost savings, materials cost and productivity reporting for local location.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings according to applicable laws.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial budgets and forecasts for corporate and for the local site.

Prepare weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators and provide insights as to opportunities.

Provide detail of cash to ensure appropriate borrowings or investments.

Resolve bank issues relating to balances, payments and receipts.

Responsible for inventory control and standard costing of products.

Responsible for inventory control and standard costing of products.

Review, approve, monitor and control cost center expenses for local site.

Review, maintain, and reconcile all inter company transactions.

Supervise, maintain, and enforce the internal control policies according to corporate guidelines and local laws.

Support managers in the start-up process of products or production lines.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
