Position Summary...The Claims Associate at Walmart Canada plays an important role in supporting inventory accuracy and store profitability by ensuring proper handling of damaged and returned merchandise in accordance with Company guidelines. This role works closely with vendor partners, associates, and customers to secure appropriate credits, maintain inventory control, and support smooth store operations. By combining strong attention to detail with excellent customer service, the Claims Associate helps protect company assets while contributing to a positive shopping and work environment.What you'll do...

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Handle Damaged and Returned Items
Scans damaged and stolen items quickly and correctly to help prevent loss.
Process Returns and Vendor Requests
Prepares returns, vendor requests, recalls, and donation items by completing required paperwork, packing, and shipping on time.
Keep the Claims Area Safe and Clean
Keeps the claims area neat, clean, and safe by following proper lifting, ladder use, and chemical disposal procedures.
Follow Claims Procedures
Follows Company rules for handling damaged and recalled items, keeps claims up to date, and completes required forms for older claims to reduce chargebacks.
Support Store Programs
Completes Customer Value Program (CVP) tasks as assigned and follows current systems and processes.
Work with Other Teams
Provides support to the Office Support Associate and Directs Store Delivery Associate when needed.
Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)
Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runssmoothlyand customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
