JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining records of materials in inventory and on order. Monitoring reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and assist with maintaining current inventory levels by performing weekly and monthly physical inventory counts, recommending and executing replenishment.
  • Reconciling stock counts to computer/ERP generated reports; track orders and investigates problems.
  • Initiates action to replenish stock by processing purchase order requests and other related paperwork.
  • Record purchases, maintain database, track orders and investigates variances/discrepancies.
  • Receiving, unpacking and delivering items to shelves or to requesting department.
  • Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
  • Inspects shipments for accuracy and completeness and resolves inconsistencies.
  • Audit process documents to ensure accuracy; maintain database as necessary.
  • Update database with new product details as necessary.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and answering telephones.
  • Maintains cleanliness and functionality of the inventory warehouse.
  • Collaborate all Departments to investigate and resolve Supply Chain issues.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to adapt promptly to any change in working condition and to get problems resolved without delay
  • Ability to perform even when under work pressure
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient in time management
  • Ability to relate across departments connected to the position, and with all other team members
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient with the use of the computer, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe.
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
  • Strong data entry skills and accuracy.

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of high school diploma with focus on business/computer curriculum.
  • Minimum of one year of inventory control experience.
  • Experience in a GMP/HACCP facility environment is an asset. (not required)
