PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, requisitions, replenishment, order fulfillment, shipping, and employee performance. This role ensures customer requirements, productivity targets, inventory accuracy, quality standards, and safety expectations are achieved while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This position directly supervises warehouse associates, equipment operators, and team leads.

2nd Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience using WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and develop employees in a fast-paced environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping

  • Lead all outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in full.
  • Direct order fulfillment activities including picking, staging, inspection, and carrier loading.
  • Monitor daily shipment schedules and allocate labor resources to meet customer shipping requirements.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation, Planning, and Production to address shipping priorities and service issues.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor shipping performance metrics including on-time shipments, order accuracy, productivity, and service levels.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, customer claims, and fulfillment issues.

Receiving & Inventory Control

  • Oversee inbound receiving activities including unloading, verification, system transactions, and put-away processes.
  • Ensure materials are received accurately and discrepancies are investigated promptly.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Optimize material flow and storage utilization throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately within the ERP/WMS system.

Production Support & Requisitions

  • Manage replenishment activities to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Prioritize and coordinate material requisitions, component transfers, and production staging requirements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, and Inventory teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Monitor material shortages and proactively escalate risks impacting production schedules.
  • Ensure warehouse support activities align with operational and customer priorities.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise warehouse associates & forklift operators.
  • Assign daily work activities and monitor completion of assignments.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees on safety, quality, inventory control, and warehouse procedures.
  • Conduct performance discussions and address performance concerns as needed.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce development activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Verify equipment inspections are completed and documented.
  • Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the warehouse.

PHYISICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Ability to work in various warehouse conditions
