Job description

Position Summary

We're seeking a dependable and self-motivated Field Inventory Technician to support inventory operations at multiple customer locations throughout the Lumberton, NC area. In this role, you'll travel between customer sites using your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) to monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, and ensure storerooms remain organized and fully supplied. After completing hands-on training, you'll independently manage your assigned route while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate inventory records.
This position is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in inventory control, warehouse operations, stockroom management, material handling, field service, or logistics who enjoy working independently while delivering outstanding customer support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Travel daily to customer locations in the Wade, Maxton, and Whiteville, NC areas to inspect and manage inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, and submit replenishment orders to maintain appropriate inventory quantities.
  • Organize and maintain clean, accurate, and well-stocked storerooms.
  • Perform inventory counts, verify product accuracy, and document inventory activity using company systems.
  • Build positive working relationships with customer personnel through professional and dependable service.
  • Safely handle materials and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 1 year of inventory, warehouse, distribution, or stockroom experience; experience with electrical, construction, or industrial products. 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year of resolving technical, equipment, and service-related issues, 2 years preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and reliable personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Ability to work independently, manage a daily route, and maintain a professional appearance while representing the company at customer locations.
  • Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday; steel-toe boots required (additional PPE provided).
  • Forklift experience, certification preferred.

  • Compensation: $24.00 per hour | Milage reimbursement ($0.52 per mile)
