Position Announcement
At Utah Valley University, the Warehouse Clerk plays an important role in supporting campus operations by ensuring merchandise is received, organized, and delivered efficiently. This position offers a hands-on, team-oriented environment where attention to detail and organization directly contribute to the success of the UVU Store and the experience of its customers. From managing incoming inventory to maintaining an orderly warehouse and assisting with deliveries, this role provides variety and the opportunity to stay active throughout the workday.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, physically engaging work and takes pride in reliability and strong service. Employees in this role develop valuable skills in inventory management, logistics, and customer service while working closely with a supportive team. At UVU, the Warehouse Clerk helps keep operations running smoothly while contributing to a welcoming and service-focused campus community.
Summary of Responsibilities
  • Drives university vehicles to make deliveries from the off-site warehouse to the store on campus and also, on occasion, to other customers across campus.
  • Assists in logging new shipments as they arrive at the warehouse, counting merchandise to confirm packing slip quantities, and confirming inventory counts of received merchandise.
  • Fulfills requests from UVU Store buyers to bring overstock merchandise from the warehouse to the store.
  • Maintains accurate records of these requests and their fulfillment.
  • Carries out various activities related to such areas as shipping and receiving, materials handling, warehousing, and inventory control, as appropriate to the position.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including fundamental functions.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a commercial or warehouse environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and routine maintenance.
  • Familiarity with campus building locations at Utah Valley University.
