Summary:


The Inventory Specialist will follow all programs, procedures, requirements, practices, and safety with no exceptions.


The Inventory Specialist will work in conjunction with all departments, including the scheduling department, production, and supply chain to enhance the overall quality and business system. It is the responsibility of the Inventory Specialist to ensure materials are located and accounted for correctly in the company's ERP system. It is also their responsibility for changes to any material handling processes they are involved in when needed. The Inventory Specialist

will provide themselves for some of the items listed below.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.


โ€ข Complete monthly, weekly, and daily lists of inventory cycle counts

โ€ข Assist all departments in the locating of requested items(WH Manager approval)

โ€ข Assist in any total physical inventory process

โ€ข Be proficient in the use of the ROSS ERP system and any devices used in conjunction with the system

โ€ข Conduct cycle counts in offices and warehouses.

โ€ข Exchange/return expired products.

โ€ข Lead inventory initiatives, process improvement, and streamline inventory processes.

โ€ข Utilize reports to monitor proper inventory levels and adjust accordingly.

โ€ข Assist in training of inventory specialists on ROSS ERP and hand scanners

โ€ข Monitor ROSS for errors

โ€ข Monitor all expired products.

โ€ข Typical duties will include, but will not be limited to: directing and advising the daily activities of a team of inventory associates.

โ€ข Ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality.

โ€ข Provide proper training and development for inventory associates.

โ€ข Ensure workflow for the facility meets performance expectations and that all raw materials are available for production.

โ€ข Provide basic feedback to the team on performance. Know when to escalate issues to your manager for assistance.


Training, Education & Experience:


โ€ข Training for the position of Inventory Specialist will consist of the same training that new hires receive, i.e., HACCP, Retort, Food Science, Safety, Food Safety, and Pest Control

โ€ข Preferred education for this position is a 2-year degree (preferred), but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis situation and some education with experience may be in lieu of.

โ€ข Experience in Warehouse, Inventory management, production, and/or food-beverage environment is preferred.


Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds regularly and repetitively
  • Must have the ability to read a production schedule/assignment
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the Supervisors
  • Must have a solid understanding of basic math
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English

Working Conditionsโ€ข Indoorsโ€ข Walking on wet and slippery floorsโ€ข Standing/Walking up to 100% of shift


Pay Range: 15.50-17.00/hourly (based on experience)

For the PM shift, there is a $1.00 Shift Differential for this position.
