Job description

⭐⭐⭐ Material Handler - Temp Opportunity⭐⭐⭐ 
Location: Near Guilderland, NY
Pay: $24-30/hour; based on experience
Transportation: Not busline accessible; must have private transportation
Duration: 3-6 months
We're seeking an experienced Material Handler for a temporary role supporting warehouse and logistics operations while a team member is out on leave. In this role, you'll handle receiving, shipping, and organizing materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This assignment is expected to be approximately 3-6 months in length.
Responsibilities of the Material Handler will include:
  • Receive and process inbound and outbound materials with proper documentation.
  • Safely load, unload, and move materials up to 50 lbs (including outdoor work in all weather conditions).
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and update inventory systems.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including securing and packaging as needed.
  • Organize warehouse storage areas for efficient flow of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and purchasing teams to meet deadlines.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications for the role of Material Handler:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of warehouse or stockroom experience, including forklift or PIT operation.
  • Proficiency with computerized inventory systems.
