Job description

Description:

ABOUT C SPEED

C Speed, LLC is a radar Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in advanced radar systems, mechanical and electrical engineering, and software development for defense applications. We partner closely with our customers to design, deliver, and sustain mission-critical systems in dynamic operational environments. As our programs continue to grow, we are expanding our sustainment and depot operations capability to support long-term system readiness and lifecycle performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Production & Inventory Associate to build and assemble our products and to support the daily administrative and operational functions of our warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse or Operations Manager, the role divides its time between the assembly bench — building products, kits, and displays to specification and keeping warehouse equipment running — and the administrative work that connects floor operations, inventory systems, and the broader organization.

The ideal candidate pairs mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools with strong record-keeping discipline, ensuring that finished assemblies, shipments, inventory data, and documentation remain accurate, timely, and compliant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Assemble products, kits, and displays to specification, working from work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials, and meeting daily build and quality targets.
  • Operate common hand and power tools (drills, drivers, wrenches, torque tools) safely and accurately during assembly, rework, and repair tasks.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for fit, function, and quality, correcting defects and escalating recurring issues.
  • Perform basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, conveyors, carts, packaging equipment), escalating major repairs to maintenance or vendors.
  • Document assembly output, parts consumption, and equipment maintenance activity, keeping records aligned with inventory and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS), reconciling physical counts with system data and investigating discrepancies.
  • Process inbound and outbound shipments, including generating packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels, and verifying order accuracy.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries, pickups, and returns.
  • Prepare and file warehouse documentation such as receiving reports, inventory logs, and compliance records.
  • Generate routine reports on stock levels, order status, and operational metrics for the Operations Manager.
  • Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Assist in onboarding documentation and timekeeping for warehouse staff as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and inventory-control procedures across all administrative processes.
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of hands-on assembly, production, or light manufacturing experience, including safe and accurate use of hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials, and to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • 2–3 years of administrative or clerical experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and basic inventory-control principles.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with a specific WMS or ERP platform (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards.
  • Experience in a light manufacturing, kitting, or product-assembly environment.
  • Basic equipment-maintenance or mechanical-repair training (e.g., preventive maintenance, lockout/tagout).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily an on-site role based in the warehouse and adjoining office area.
  • Ability to stand at an assembly bench for extended periods, sit for administrative work, and move throughout the warehouse floor.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and positioning of up to 50 lbs (e.g., components, cartons, subassemblies, and supplies), with assistance or equipment for heavier items.
  • Frequent use of hands for assembly tasks, including gripping, repetitive motion, and fine manipulation of small parts and tools.
  • Exposure to typical warehouse conditions, including variable temperatures and moderate noise.
  • Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime during peak periods.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hourly Rate: $23-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance / Paid time off (PTO) / Retirement plan package
