The Inventory Control Associate 1 is responsible for receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment. Plans the movement of materials to ensure the efficiency of warehouse operations. Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. Plan, implement and control the movement and storage of goods and services from the point of origin to the point of consumption. Aim to conform to customer requirements and delivery of finished goods or services efficiently and effectively.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitors count completeness reports; identify materials to be counted; helps ensure 100% count completeness.
  • Conducts daily counts, reviews results; determines cause of errors, codes count accordingly.
  • Inputs/maintains count records and reports via SAP.
  • Accurately performs material transactions and Master Data maintenance as assigned.
  • Works with representatives from a broad range of functional areas (customer service, warehouse, accounting, purchasing, receiving, assembly, etc.).
  • Assist in root-cause analysis and problem solving
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in inventory control, materials, production, or cost accounting environment.
  • Cycle count and record reconciliation experience preferred.

Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of SAP, manufacturing, and inventory control functions.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter
  • Math/numeric aptitude
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, ability to multi-task.
