The Inventory Control Returns Specialist is responsible for managing all inventory return activities, including stock, non-stock, defective, and damaged material returns. This position ensures accurate processing, documentation, tracking, and disposition of returned inventory while maintaining compliance with company policies and operational procedures. The role works closely with Operations, Warehouse, Purchasing, Accounting, Sales, and Distribution teams to improve inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and enhance the efficiency of the returns process.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and coordinate the return of stock inventory at the Central Distribution Center (CDC).
  • Process and coordinate the return of defective inventory.
  • Manage the return of non-stock materials to manufacturers utilizing Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs).
  • Prioritize and process daily stock returns received from the service area.
  • Maintain accurate records of all return transactions and support documentation.
  • Ensure returned inventory is properly identified, categorized, and routed for disposition.
  • Manage and maintain designated Stock, Non-Stock, Damaged, and Defective Returns areas.
  • Support cycle count activities to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Support Outbound Freight picking and shipping.
  • Assist Supervisor and Manager with the scrap wire process, including tracking, segregation, and documentation.
  • Performing other tasks as directed or requested by Inventory Control Supervisor or Managers.
  • Ability to operate forklift or become certified to operate a forklift.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to motivate, foster teamwork and provide positive reinforcement to a team/s. Ability to work as a team member with other employees, supervisors and management.
  • Ability to effectively train, coach and provide performance feedback.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software's including word-processing, excel, outlook, WMS (preferably Eclipse) or other relevant computer software.
  • Ability to analyze moderately complex data.
  • Communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • 3-5+ years Fulfillment/Distribution and Inventory Control experience (preferably in a electrical industry) with at least one plus years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to work on various shifts when the need arises.

 Salary: $24 / hour
