Job description

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels of Alsco products, including garments, linens, mats, and other service items. This position monitors, tracks, and reports inventory to ensure proper product allocation, ordering, and availability to support service operations.

You Will:

·         Conduct physical inventory counts across garments, linens, mats, and service items to ensure accuracy.

·         Maintain and track inventory data using spreadsheets and internal systems.

·         Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies such as shortages, overstock, damaged or missing items.

·         Support new account setups and assist with inventory-related onboarding needs

·         Coordinate replenishment by communicating product ordering needs based on stock levels

·         Collaborate with service, production, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and efficiency

·         Perform audits (on-site or in-plant), inspect product quality, manage stock organization, and support operational inventory needs

·         Support other service team members as required by supervision.

What You Bring:

·         Experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or route operations

·         Professional customer service skills with experience interacting with customers and team members.

·         Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

·         Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

·         Basic computer skills (spreadsheets, email, inventory systems) for accurate tracking and reporting

·         Organized with strong time management and attention to detail

Work Environment and Requirements:

·         Highschool graduation or similar

·         Accurately recognize colors and sizes and perform basic math

·         Stoop, pull, push, reach overhead, lift up to 75 lbs. and move loaded carts up to 500 lbs.

·         Safely operate a company vehicle and travel between branches and customer locations.

·         Operating vehicles on public roads, in and out of customer locations, indoor and outdoor areas of industrial laundry facilities, service centers, or depot.
