Job description

Job Summary

Position: Inventory Control Specialist 

Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday - 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)

Monitors inventory reports and processes, identifies discrepancies, and performs a variety of transactions to maintain a highly accurate level of inventory control. Investigates and reports on System Triggered Cycle Counts. Works with Operations to determine root cause of inventory discrepancies and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Coordinate daily inventory audits as needed. Slots new items prior to arriving at warehouse. Works with inventory space manager on new product launches and initiatives to ensure standard flow through the warehouse

Essential Job Functions *

  • Run inventory reporting daily and initiate inventory and the necessary bin verifications for all locations. 
  • Verify the daily transactions including part issues, builds, transfers, and adjustments. 
  • Verify audits by researching, reconciling the information in the system to the physical inventory adjustment. 
  • Generate reports as required to back up transactions and history of product. 
  • Monitor all un-allocable locations for product that has not processed through completely for aging.

Education & Experience

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Two years related experience or one year experience plus related production and inventory control courses. 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) 
  • Able to lift up to 35lbs regularly. 
  • Able to lift 35 to 45lbs occasionally. 
  • Able to secure a PIT license for appropriate equipment within 30 days
