Inventory Associate

Katz Ace Hardware - Glastonbury, CT

Job Summary

Katz Ace Hardware, an independently owned and operated Ace Hardware store, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Associate. This position is responsible for receiving merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and keeping the sales floor and stockroom organized and fully stocked. Hardware experience is helpful but not required - we provide complete training.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders
  • Stock and organize merchandise on the sales floor and in the stockroom
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Identify low-stock and out-of-stock items and report discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and receiving area
  • Assist customers on the sales floor as needed
  • Operate ladders, carts, and other stocking equipment safely

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Basic math and counting accuracy
  • Prior retail, stockroom, or inventory experience a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements
