INVENTORY CLERK POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring product availability, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately count and record inventory levels for all grocery and food distribution items
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist in full physical inventory processes
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with warehouse and receiving staff
  • Enter inventory data into the inventory management system and update records as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify slow-moving or excess stock
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report any discrepancies
  • Ensure proper labeling, rotation (FIFO), and storage of products
  • Assist with inventory audits and provide support during internal or external inspections
  • Collaborate with department supervisors and purchasing team to maintain stock accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • As part of your role, you may be required to perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or the company. Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities are essential expectations for all positions
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or grocery store setting preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory software a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
