Position

The Sanitation Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all sanitation tasks are carried out in accordance with the company’s established procedures and protocols. The incumbent also ensures the proper operation of the equipment under their responsibility, following approved operating procedures and meeting the objectives outlined in the work order list.

 
Responsibilities
  • Clean surfaces and equipment using water and appropriate cleaning agents;
  • Rinse surfaces and equipment using high- and low-pressure water systems;
  • Operate, maintain, and clean floor-cleaning equipment (e.g., Zamboni);
  • Clean surfaces and equipment using approved chemicals, in compliance with established protocols and procedures;
  • Perform daily tasks including, but not limited to: emptying and refilling garbage and recycling bins; restocking hand soap dispensers, hand sanitizer, and paper towels; restocking cup dispensers; replenishing and maintaining sanitation inventory;
  • Assist the Quality Department with the destruction of production inventory;
  • Assist with emergency cleaning of production lines;
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs and installations;
  • Comply with health and safety, environmental standards, company policies and procedures, and demonstrate expected workplace behavior;
  • Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend corrective actions (Work Orders) to improve productivity and ensure product quality, while keeping the Sanitation Coordinator and Supervisor informed;
  • Participate in employee training related to job tasks, safety standards, and company policies;
  • Provide coverage when required for key positions (Level 1 Operator);
  • Ensure the proper operation of equipment under their responsibility in accordance with company operating procedures; notify the supervisor in the event of mechanical breakdowns and inform both the supervisor and the laboratory in the event of quality issues; ensure the finished product meets the highest quality standards;
  • Assist in completing work orders and developing action plans;
  • Ensure and maintain effective communication between departments (maintenance, sanitation, laboratory, quality) to support task completion.
