Position Summary

Territory:South Florida (Ocala south through Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and the Florida Keys as business needs require)

The Market Manager is responsible for the successful execution of merchandising projects throughout the assigned South Florida market. This position leads field teams, manages client relationships, recruits and develops merchandising talent, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to client expectations.

As the owner of the South Florida market, the Market Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a reliable workforce, supporting business growth, and serving as the primary operational leader for assigned clients within the territory. This is a hands-on leadership position that regularly works alongside Project Specialists while directing field operations.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage merchandising teams during retail reset, remodel, fixture installation, and merchandising projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client Project Managers and Category Managers while on assigned projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to client quality standards.
  • Perform onsite project management, including documentation and reporting through client and company software platforms.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively communicate risks, delays, and resolutions.
  • Track employee hours and electronically review and approve timecards.
  • Train new W-2 Project Specialists.
  • Direct and supervise third-party temporary labor assigned to projects.
  • Coach, develop, and provide ongoing performance feedback to field employees.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, client requirements, and safety standards.
  • Perform merchandising duties alongside the team as needed to ensure successful project completion.
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients, store management, and field personnel.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) or more years of merchandising experience in big box, warehouse, grocery, or home improvement retail environments.
  • Previous experience leading merchandising, remodel, or reset teams preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, and electronic reporting systems.
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proof of automobile insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Florida, preferably within the Orlando or Tampa metropolitan area.
  • Ability to travel up to70%, including frequent overnight travel.
  • Company-paid lodging provided when overnight travel is required.
  • Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel.
  • Ability to work overnight, early morning, weekend, and extended schedules based on project needs.
  • Ability to travel for multiple consecutive weeks when required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, and reach overhead throughout the workday.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Safely operate hand tools and light power tools.
  • Work extended shifts on concrete and tile surfaces.
  • Work in a variety of retail environments while maintaining company safety standards.
