JOB SUMMARY

Intex is seeking a reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate daily outbound shipments, support incoming

receiving activity, maintain accurate shipping and inventory records, and communicate with internal teams, customers,

suppliers, and carriers to ensure product ships accurately, safely, and on time.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Shipping execution: Coordinate daily outbound shipments to ensure finished product ships accurately, safely,and on time based on customer requirements, production completion, and business priorities.
  • Shipment preparation: Prepare, stage, package, label, verify, and release finished goods for shipment, ensuringquantities, part numbers, customer requirements, and packaging standards are correct before shipment.
  • Shipping documentation: Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills oflading, shipping labels, customer-required paperwork, carrier paperwork, and related ERP shipment records.
  • Carrier coordination: Schedule and communicate with freight carriers, trucking companies, parcel providers, andcustomer-arranged carriers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, shipment timing, and freight requirements.
  • Receiving support: Receive incoming materials, supplies, returned goods, and supplier shipments as needed;verify received items against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery paperwork; and communicatediscrepancies for correction.
  • Inventory accuracy: Support inventory accuracy through shipment verification, receiving verification, cyclecounts, location control, inventory adjustments, and timely communication of shortages, discrepancies, rejectedmaterials, or damaged goods.
  • Internal communication: Communicate daily with operations, production, customer service, purchasing, finance,and management regarding shipment status, customer priorities, production readiness, delivery issues,shortages, and schedule changes.
  • Warehouse organization: Maintain organized finished goods, receiving, staging, and shipping areas to supportsafe material flow, accurate inventory control, efficient loading, and timely shipment preparation.
  • Issue resolution: Assist in resolving freight issues, delivery delays, shipment shortages, damaged goods, receivingdiscrepancies, returned materials, and customer or carrier-related shipping concerns.
  • ERP and recordkeeping: Maintain accurate shipment, receiving, inventory, and transaction records in the ERPsystem, including updates related to finished goods, shipment completion, receiving activity, and inventorymovement.
  • Basic material purchasing support: Purchase basic materials, packaging supplies, shipping supplies, warehousesupplies, and routine production support items as needed; issue purchase orders, communicate with suppliersregarding pricing and delivery timing, and follow up on order status to support shipping, receiving, inventory,and production needs.
  • Safety and compliance: Follow company safety procedures when working in warehouse, shipping, receiving, and manufacturing areas, including safe material handling practices and awareness of moving equipment.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Work experience: 3 years of related experience.
  • Education: BS or BA in related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge of generally accepted accountingprinciples.
  • Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft office skills.
  • Organization skills: excellent organizational ability to multi-tasking and shift priorities as needed.
  • Cross-functional skills: ability to work well cross-functionally with the IDTs; provides excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with sensitiveand confidential information. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries.
  • Problem solving skills: good problem-solving skills with the ability to provide easily understood solutions. Abilityto develop and interpret graphs and charts.
