Job description

Role Overview

Ares Management is hiring a Vice President for its Alternative Credit investment team in Atlanta, focused on Asset Management of the team's ongoing residential credit transactions. Ares Alternative Credit focuses on asset-based finance (ABF) and tactical asset investing beyond traditional markets, and manages approximately $57.3 billion in assets as of March 2026.


Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day active management of the ongoing trade commitment pipeline across flow and bulk residential loan transactions for multiple Alternative Credit Accounts

  • Manage loan exit and resecuritization opportunities for the Pathfinder Accounts

  • Oversee operating document negotiation and adherence with legal and counterparties

  • General asset management including confirming fundings, coordinating settlements, valuations, and asset-level reporting

  • Analyze asset-level and originator guideline trends and communicate findings to the residential deal team


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field

  • 4+ years of residential whole loan transaction experience, including negotiating operative documents

  • Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and experience with Intex and database management

  • Strong communication and analytical skills, given the level of coordination required with internal and external counterparties


Compensation & Location

Based in Ares' Atlanta office, reporting to the Managing Director, Alternative Credit. Anticipated base salary range $180,000-$225,000, plus a discretionary performance-based bonus and Ares' full benefits package.
