Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Product Managers (PMs) to collaborate with us in creating the most effective curriculum for our new program. Our goal is to ensure that every student who completes this course feels fully competent and confident in cracking the challenging interviews for Product Manager roles at top-tier companies.
This partnership will outline the responsibilities of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will co-create the curriculum with us.

Requirements:
  • To be an effective Product Management subject matter expert, the requirements typically include a combination of in-depth Product management expertise, teaching experience, and communication skills.
  • Should have hands-on experience in any one of the following:

  • Minimum five years of experience in tier-1 companies as a Product Manager
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and explain them in an engaging manner
  • High levels of empathy to understand the challenges faced by students and willingness to help them out

Responsibilities:
Curriculum Creation, Content Review and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the curriculum covers all crucial aspects of interviews at tier 1 companies.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on content created by other SME authors to ensure alignment with the curriculum vision.
  • Work closely with our internal team and external technical reviewers to refine and finalize the curriculum.
  • Instruction Delivery:
    • Conduct lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions.
    • Teach Product Management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
    • Use lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and group discussions.
  • Industry Engagement: Staying current with the latest trends and advancements in Product Management and related fields, engaging with industry professionals, and collaborating on projects or internships to provide students with real-world experiences.
  • Constantly improve the session flow and delivery by working with other instructors, subject matter experts, and the IK team.
  • Help the IK team in onboarding and training other instructors and coaches
  • Have regular discussions with IK's curriculum team in evolving the curriculum.
  • Should be willing to work on weekends/evenings and be available as per the Pacific time zone
