Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in neuro and peripheral interventions for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Details
  • Inpatient/outpatient IR department featuring 4 angiography suites (two single-plane and two biplane)
  • Unit includes 1 dedicated CT scanner and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Possible weekend coverage required
  • Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract, in rotation with staff
  • Epic experience required for charting
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an IR Tech
  • ARRT Registered in CV or VI required, ARRT CI and VI preferred
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Active state radiology license required if applicable; Virginia license preferred, with emergency authorization available for travelers holding an active or pending license from another state
  • Experience in neuro and peripheral interventions required
  • Epic charting system experience required
Additional Information
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures for vascular, neuro, and oncologic conditions using advanced imaging technology
  • Work within a Level I Trauma Center serving adult and pediatric patients at a large academic teaching hospital
  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient IR care with a focus on precision and reduced recovery times
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
  • Previous employees, whether per diem or permanent, must have a minimum one-year gap before returning as a traveler
  • Facility does not permit travelers to return after having worked 365 total days on assignment, regardless of separation period, with case-by-case exceptions reviewed by leadership
  • Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for this assignment
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the initial application
