Job description

Job Description
The Interventional Radiology Technologist works directly with radiologists, nurses, and radiology technologists during vascular/interventional and neuroradiology procedures. You will join a busy IR department in our Level I trauma center, with a supportive team, and complex and interesting work. You will be expected to make quick decisions and work independently, and be knowledgeable in inventory and use of many guide wires, catheters, balloons, and stents. This position requires on-call commitment above the hired FTE status, and is expected to take call and to live within a 30-minute call back time.
Work Schedule:
  • M-F days with call rotation
  • 0.8 FTE

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program of Radiologic Technology or the ARRT-approved equivalent.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists on or before the first day of employment.
  • BLS certification from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program on or before the first day of employment.
  • Live within a 30-minute call back time of Regions Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of interventional radiology experience.
