Required Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Nurse / IR RN
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience
  • Experience with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
  • Comfortable administering conscious/moderate sedation (no propofol)
  • First-time travel nurses encouraged to apply
Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities
  • Circulate and assist in a wide range of IR procedures: thoracentesis/paracentesis, biopsies (bone, thyroid, liver, renal), abscess drainage, angiograms, fistulograms, g-tube placements/exchanges, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, trialysis catheters, ports, and IVC filters
  • Administer IV medications and conscious/moderate sedation and monitor patient responses
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, advanced practice clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Assist with ultrasound-guided cases and provide support in CT when needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent cases as required
  • Document care, procedures, and patient status accurately and timely in the EMR
