The Rad Tech EP Lab is responsible for assisting the cardiologists in all specialized non-invasive and invasive patient procedures performed in EP lab procedures by, analyzing electrocardiograph data, perform program stimulation of the heart, induce and terminate cardiac arrhythmia by overdrive pacing or DC cardioversion, apply energy to catheters for purposes of arrhythmia ablation, create 3D maps of cardiac chambers to evaluate electrical conduction of tachycardia. Assist the cardiologists in the performance of invasive procedures related to intra-cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers and other invasive cardiac procedures. Possess a thorough knowledge and ability to understand, demonstrate, and administer all procedures specific to cardiovascular technology. Cross trains with the ability and the knowledge to assist the cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons in the performance of all non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
