Artemis Fine Art Services has an exciting position available for CDL Class A Drivers driving Over The Road (OTR). The essential duties of this role are to work on all aspects of residential removals, collections, deliveries and installations of furniture, personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. We are looking for experienced long-haul drivers with trailer driving experience, art handling experience is a bonus.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • Two years of experience in residential moving and art handling industry; packing, handling and installing art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basis (e.g. Interstate Driver, Trailer Driver, OTR Driver experience is applicable for this position) 
  • A knowledge of proper handling of art, antiquities and high-end furniture using the appropriate materials and methods for packaging, loading and securing for safe transport
  • Familiarity with paperwork; Bills of Lading, Condition Reports, Inventory, Drivers Logs, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment
  • Experience driving long haul trucks / trailers
  • CDL Class A is required
  • Experience in Interstate driving is a plus (OTR) 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Key Responsibilities
  • Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as needed
  • Handle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goods
  • Ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifest
  • Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture
  • Pack for haul transportation and storage
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job
  • On occasion you may be required to start your day or end your day onsite at another location.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma / GED required
  • Three years of experience in moving packing, handling and installing art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basis
  • Three years of logistical, warehousing and moving experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Impeccable communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting
  • Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable in a results-driven workplace

  • Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipment
  • Ability to safely lift 60 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 120 pounds on a dolly or cart
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
