Position: American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter
Type: W2 Employment
Hours: 20-25 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Location: In-Person and Video appointments
Rate: $35 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team. This role involves providing interpretation services for In-person and both pre-scheduled and on-demand video appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to facilitating effective communication and possess the necessary certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ASL interpretation for clients during in-person and video appointments.
  • Work with clients to ensure clear communication and understanding.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines of interpreting.
  • Collaborate with other interpreters and professionals as needed.
  • Stay updated on best practices and advancements in ASL interpretation.

Qualifications:
  • RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or BEI (Board for Evaluation of Interpreters) certification required.
  • Experience in interpreting in various settings (medical, educational, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours but hours of highest volume at 9am to 4pm PST
