Job description

The Cooper for North Carolina (CFNC) campaign committee is seeking applicants for its Fall 2026 Internship Program. The CFNC Internship Program welcomes a diverse pool of candidates, with diversity broadly defined to include individuals from different backgrounds, experiences, traditions, and socioeconomic circumstances. Interns will be assigned to a specific department within CFNC, including Communications, Digital, Finance, Political, Research. Program Dates: The internship runs from August 24 to November 13. 
 
Hours: Internships are offered on a part-time schedule (20 hours per week).
General office hours are 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, though specific schedules may vary by department.
 
Compensation: Interns will be paid $15 per hour
 
Location: This is an in-person opportunity. All interns must be based in the Raleigh, NC area and will be required to work from the CFNC office. Remote work is not available.

  • Finance: The finance team raises money for the campaign by organizing donors, fundraising events, and compliance with campaign finance laws.
  • Political: the political team builds and maintains relationships with elected officials, community leaders, faith leaders, and grassroots leaders. Turning those relationships into real support for the campaign — helping activate communities, organize events, and ultimately drive turnout on Election Day.
  • Digital: The digital team manages the campaign’s online presence, including social media, email, websites, and digital advertising to reach and mobilize voters. 
  • Operations: The operations team handles logistics, staffing, budgeting, and day-to-day administrative functions to keep the campaign running smoothly.
