Job description

We're looking for a reliable, safety-minded team member with forklift experience and a Class A CDL to support our production and warehouse operations. In this role, you'll spend your day operating a forklift, moving trailers with a yard dog, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting our state-of-the-art bird seed production facility.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
What You'll Do
Yard & Equipment Operations

  • Operate a forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and pallets.
  • Operate a yard dog (terminal tractor) to safely move and position semi-trailers throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Move completed pallets using an electric pallet jack.
  • Shrink-wrap finished pallets using automated and manual equipment.
Production Responsibilities
  • Process, mix, and bag bird seed on a production line.
  • Read and follow production schedules.
  • Set scale weights accurately.
  • Feed bags through sewing machines or heat sealers.
  • Stack finished product onto pallets or into boxes.
  • Assist with inventory management and material handling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support production efficiency while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Provide courteous customer service when needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience operating a yard dog or terminal tractor preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates).
  • Ability to work extended hours when production demands require.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and dependable attendance.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug test before employment begins.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, push, and pull.
  • Regularly lift and carry bags and pails weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform physically active work throughout the shift.
