Summary:

The Media Director at LifePointe Christian Church is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the churchโ€™s media production, content creation, merchandise, graphic design, website, and digital outreach. This position requires a high level of creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to manage a comprehensive media ministry that enhances the churchโ€™s mission and vision. The Media Director/Manager will lead a team of volunteers and paid interns to ensure that all media content effectively communicates the message of the church and engages the congregation and the broader community.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in media production, including photography,
videography, social media and website management, graphic design, and set design for church services and special events. They must be an effective leader with a strong ability to recruit, train, and develop a team of volunteers and interns, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with the churchโ€™s branding and values. They must be a self-starter who can see projects through from conception to execution while balancing multiple responsibilities and deadlines. The Media Director/Manager must be fully invested in the life and mission of LifePointe Christian Church, embodying the churchโ€™s values and actively contributing to the overall vision.


Key Responsibilities:
ContentCreation and Media Production
  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for use in church services, social media, website content, and promotional materials
  • Oversee all aspects of video production, including filming, lighting, audio, and post-production editing, ensuring professional-quality content
  • Manage and enhance church branding through high-quality graphic design, photography, and video content that aligns with the churchโ€™s mission and values
  • Develop and execute creative storytelling strategies to highlight testimonies, special events, ministry impact, and outreach initiatives
  • Produce announcement videos, sermon recap videos, and highlight reels for various church activities
  • Organize and maintain a structured digital content archive, ensuring all past content is accessible and properly categorized
  • Oversee and manage all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) for LifePointe Main, Students, Young Adults, and Kids ministries
  • Train and develop volunteers responsible for managing and posting on social media platforms
  • Research and implement social media strategies that increase engagement, reach, and digital discipleship opportunities
  • Develop and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to promote events, sermon series, and ministry initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize reach and effectiveness
Website Management
  • Oversee and manage LifePointeโ€™s website (WordPress) to ensure content is current, engaging, and aligned with the churchโ€™s branding and mission
  • Regularly update website content, including events, ministry information, sermon series, staff changes, and announcements
  • Ensure website design reflects the current branding and seasonal themes, including updating colors, imagery, and layout as needed
  • Add new photos, videos, and design elements to the site to enhance storytelling and improve visitor engagement
  • Work closely with church staff to gather necessary information and assets for timely website updates and launches
  • Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and ministry leaders to implement strategic changes to site structure and navigation as needed
Graphic Design
  • Manage and oversee the production of all church-wide graphics for Sunday services, sermon series, and major events such as Easter and Christmas.
  • Collaborate directly with Senior Pastor to design and deliver high-impact graphics for each new sermon series (typically monthly or bi-monthly)
  • Create promotional and print-ready graphics for special initiatives such as Next Steps and baptism classes, outreach efforts, and more
  • Provide guidance and support to ministry teams (Kids, Students, Young Adults, Menโ€™s, Womenโ€™s, 55+ Ministry, etcetera) for graphics-related needs, stepping in to design when additional support is needed
  • Maintain a cohesive visual identity across all graphic assets in alignment with LifePointeโ€™s brand guidelines Organize and archive all design files to ensure accessibility and efficient reuse for future projects
Leadership and Team Development
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of volunteers and paid interns to serve in various aspects of media
  • Create a structured development pathway for media team members to grow in their roles and responsibilities
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with key team members to provide coaching, support, and feedback
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence within the media ministry
Technical and Production Support
  • Manage media equipment, ensuring all cameras, lighting, and audio gear are properly maintained and updated
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for any technical issues related to media production and church-wide presentations
  • Stay up to date with emerging media technologies and trends, implementing new tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality
Special Project and Church Wide Initiatives
  • Plan and execute major media campaigns for special events such as Easter, Christmas, LP anniversaries, LP Students Houseboats camp, and more
  • Work with other ministry leaders to support their media needs, including designing promotional materials, video production, and event documentation
  • Develop training materials and video tutorials to streamline volunteer onboarding and ministry operations for all ministries
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the LifePointe Merchandise Ministry, ensuring the ministry reflects and reinforces the LifePointe brand
  • Organize and maintain the merchandise room, keeping inventory clearly labeled, accessible, and ready for regular use
  • Plan and launch new merchandise
  • Take the lead in executing merchandise sales during designated church events, Student Ministry gatherings, or select Sunday mornings throughout the yearโ€”ensuring the booth is staffed, merchandise is set up professionally, transactions run smoothly, and all tech is functioning properly (often requiring personal presence to oversee operations)
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and scheduling for the merchandise team, equipping them to serve effectively and with excellence
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of technical devices used in merchandise sales (e.g., Clover point-of-sale systems), troubleshooting or updating equipment as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and printers to order new items, manage budgets, and maintain healthy inventory levels
Qualifications:
  • Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission and values of LifePointe Christian Church
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience
  • Proven expertise in photography, photo editing, video production, video editing, graphic design, social media and website management with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence and technical proficiency in each area
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including onboarding, training, managing, and evaluating personnel
  • High level of competency with industry-standard tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite,DaVinci Resolve, Dropbox, Canva Pro, etc.)
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to bring projects from concept to completion while maintaining alignment with church values and brand
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30lbs, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and manage weekend and evening responsibilities.
