Position Information
Position Title EMT Instructor Intern Campus Plainfield Department EMT Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct Part Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant Regular General Description
Instructor Intern's responsibilities shall be teaching course segments as assigned by EMT Program Coordinator but only under the direct supervision of a NJ certified EMT Instructor.
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities
Teaches assigned courses material in accordance with the approved course outline, in accordance with schedule of classes and incorporating alternative approaches, technologies and methods when possible.
Meets all scheduled class sessions.
Advises Program Coordinator of absences in a timely manner.
Cooperates with Coordinator in developing and revising courses of study and curricula when asked.
Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures and national perspectives into courses.
Attends scheduled program staff meetings.
Plans in advance to ensure availability of classroom equipment requisite to successful teaching of assigned tasks
Adheres to professional standards of procedures.
Adheres to College policies and procedures.
Education Requirements
Certification or license as needed and appropriate as outlined by the NJ State Department of Health-OEMS for EMT Interns.
Experience
Demonstrated master of subject matter of discipline.
Demonstrated ability to teach.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
