Job description

CoSA VFX has a short-term opportunity for a VFX Nuke Pipeline Developer. CoSA's Nuke pipeline developer will build and maintain the software tools, automated workflows, and integrations that enable compositing artists to create visual effects. They will bridge the gap between the creative and the code, writing scripts and custom plugins to streamline operations in Foundry's Nuke.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tool Development: Write, test, and maintain custom Python scripts, gizmos, and UI tools within Nuke to streamline artist workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Workflow Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between Nuke and other pipeline components, such as lighting (Maya/Houdini) and review/tracking systems like ShotGrid/Flow.
  • Artist Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for compositing artists and supervisors in a fast-paced production environment.
  • System Management: Support cross-application integration and render farm submissions, frequently working within Linux and Windows backbones.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for all developed tools and train end-users on new workflows.
