Job description

Department: Location: Belknap Campus Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Regular Job Req ID: R109229 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Grade 6 (Salaried) Position Description: The Athletic Television Producer III (Live Events Producer) is responsible for all graphics and video content for In-Venue productions. This includes building and loading content in Xpression, DreamCatcher, and Ross switchers. This position also serves as the Control Room Producer for all football, men’s and women’s basketball, and KFC Yum! Center volleyball games. The position has additional oversight of Louisville Athletics press conferences and additional responsibilities within television broadcasts on the ESPN Family of Networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directing and producing in-venue videoboard shows for University of Louisville Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and various Volleyball (hosted at the KFC Yum! Center) games.
  • Load and organize in-venue graphics and videos for all Olympic sports events.
  • Directing and producing live events on ESPN Family of Networks.
  • Serve as the full-time staff representative during high-level in-venue board shows, overseeing a (mixture of students and freelancers) variety of freelance crew.
  • Work with Marketing/Fan Experience, Creative Video and Design, and other units within Athletics to prepare for various in-venue board shows.
  • Create, edit, and prepare in-venue graphics in XPression.
  • Train and mentor student and contract employees in various roles that include prepping elements for game, event, edit, or shoot, and executing content delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Strategic Communications department for all Athletics Press Conferences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience producing live sports broadcasts and directing in-arena board shows.
  • Knowledge of all positions within a control room/broadcast environment.
  • Comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of Ross & Evertz Production Equipment (i.e., XPression/Carbonite/Dreamcatcher).
  • Knowledge of Newtek Production Equipment, including NewTek Tricaster and 3Play.
  • Ability and willingness to work an extensive night, weekend, and holiday work schedule for sports event coverage and television production.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to be insured by the University insurance carrier.
  • Five (5) years of experience with in-venue videoboard shows.
  • Two (2) years of experience in high-level Power Five in-venue or broadcast shows.
  • Understanding of Evertz Routing and Dante Audio, as well as RTS Intercom workflows.
  • Understanding of Macros and Key frames with regard to Video Switchers.
  • Experience editing on Non-Linear Edit Work Stations such as Adobe Premiere.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
