Internship Video Editing Internships information

What is the 80 20 rule in video editing?

In video editing internships, the 80/20 rule suggests that roughly 80% of the final video content is created from 20% of the editing effort, emphasizing the importance of focusing on key scenes and cuts. This principle helps editors prioritize tasks, improve efficiency, and produce impactful videos using editing tools like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.

Is AI replacing video editors?

AI is increasingly used in video editing to automate tasks like cutting, color correction, and effects, but it does not fully replace video editors. Video editing internships often focus on developing skills with editing software and understanding creative storytelling, which require human judgment that AI cannot replicate entirely.

Does Netflix have an intern program?

Internships typically last several months and may involve mentorship, project work, and skill development in a professional environment.

What does a video editing intern do?

A video editing intern assists in editing and assembling raw footage into finished videos using editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. They may work on tasks such as cutting scenes, adding effects, sound editing, and ensuring the final product meets project standards under supervision.

Brand & Content Strategy Intern (Remote)Help Shape the Voice of Loud Baby

Loud Baby is a neighborhood community business (café clothing Clubhouse)  in Brooklyn, where artists, families, runners, commuters, and coffee lovers come together over house-baked pastries and exceptional coffee..

We're looking for a creative and organized student who wants real-world experience in brand marketing, social media strategy, and content planning.

This is a remote internship with flexible hours, making it ideal for students studying Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, or Public Relations.

Help transform our existing photos, videos, and marketing materials into engaging social media content that tells the story of Loud Baby.

Rather than creating content from scratch every day, you'll help us organize, polish, and strategically publish content that reflects our unique identity and grows our online community.

Responsibilities

  • Review and organize our existing library of photos and videos
  • Edit and polish content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Create captions that reflect the Loud Baby brand and voice
  • Develop a monthly social media content calendar
  • Research social media trends and adapt them to our brand
  • Suggest creative campaigns that celebrate our customers and neighborhood
  • Identify opportunities to highlight our house-baked pastries, specialty coffee, coffee beans, artists, runners, parents, and community events
  • Recommend fresh ideas to increase engagement and attract new customers
  • Help strengthen and maintain a consistent brand identity across all platforms

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Enjoys storytelling through social media
  • Has strong writing and communication skills
  • Is organized and can plan content in advance
  • Understands Instagram and TikTok trends
  • Likes working independently
  • Has an eye for aesthetics and branding
  • Wants to build a professional marketing portfolio

Bonus Skills

  • Canva
  • CapCut
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Later, Buffer, or other scheduling platforms
  • Photography or video editing

What You'll Gain

This internship offers hands-on experience in:

  • Brand strategy
  • Social media management
  • Content marketing
  • Community building
  • Editorial planning
  • Digital storytelling
  • Marketing analytics

By the end of the internship, you'll have created a professional portfolio that demonstrates your ability to manage a brand, build a content strategy, and execute a social media calendar—valuable experience for careers in marketing, communications, and digital media.

Schedule

  • Remote
  • 8–12 hours per week
  • Flexible around class schedules
  • Weekly virtual check-in with the Loud Baby team

Who should apply?

We're looking for someone who sees social media as more than posting pictures. We want someone who understands that every post contributes to a brand's story and community.

If you're excited about helping a beloved neighborhood café grow its digital presence while gaining meaningful marketing experience, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, please send:

  • Your résumé (if available)
  • Links to any social media accounts, design work, writing samples, or creative projects
  • A brief note telling us why you'd like to help tell the Loud Baby story.
