We're looking for a Senior Android Developer for our Pharmacy Digital Web & Mobile team. You will use your expertise developing native Android applications using Kotlin to help our customers connect with the Publix Pharmacy from their smartphones or other devices.

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
  • 3+ years of experience building modern Android UI using Jetpack Compose.
  • 3+ years of experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
  • 3+ years of experience with Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and clean architecture principles.
  • 3+ years of experience with REST API integration and networking libraries.
  • 3+ years of experience with Git, Gradle, and Android Studio.
  • 3+ years of experience writing maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
  • Understanding of Android app lifecycle, state management, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
  • Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Push Notifications).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android mobile applications.
  • Experience publishing and supporting applications in the Google Play Store.
  • Experience migrating or modernizing legacy Android applications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including QA, Product, and Design.
