Summary
WesTech has an immediate need for a Project Manager 2 who is responsible for coordinating internal and external resources to fulfill contractual project requirements, for communicating with customers on scheduling and equipment requirements and will be responsible for entire job sections or sub-sections as assigned. This role will support projects for our integrated product lines including Membrane Filtration (Ultrafiltration/Reverse Osmosis), High-rate Sedimentation, and Dissolved Air Flotation.
Some of the work that you will do:
  • Simultaneously lead the execution of multiple projects to ensure successful projects by managing project schedule, budgets and profit margins, and scope of supply.
  • Maintain the internal documents/procedures for each project.
  • Be the main point of contact with customers in coordinating project schedules, requirements, and shipments.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and other project managers.
  • Lead project team meetings to discuss project objectives including schedule, project specifications, scope of supply, and contractual requirements.
  • Report to the Team Manager at weekly schedule meeting to provide status and progress of each project.
  • Review and execute the obligations outlined in purchase orders and contracts.
  • Oversee the coordination between Engineering and Design of the equipment.
  • Review and understand the technical specifications, drawings, and plans.
  • Prepare project submittals and operation & maintenance manuals for customer review and approval.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions; work with the purchasing team to source buyouts, equipment, and fabrication.
  • Coordinate vendor activities (inspections, shipping, etc.) to support project objectives.
  • Oversee quality assurance and inspection of buyouts and main equipment packages.
  • Oversee coordination of equipment delivery, installation, start up, and commissioning support.
  • Understand and comply with company policies, ISO procedures, and industry standards.

  • Bachelors' degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One or more years of relevant experience, which can include internships or other equivalent work.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high professional and ethical standards in engineering practice.
  • Must have strong communication skills, including clear verbal communication, logical written communication, and ability to understand and follow instructions in the English language.
  • Ability to manage competing requirements in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate within a budget and schedule.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to navigate conflict resolution.
  • Ability to think and act proactively.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Specifications and Drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Dedicated to see a project through to completion.
  • Ability to complete domestic or international travel, when needed.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications.

  • Experience with water treatment systems and equipment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Design, Project Management or relevant field, or the equivalent work experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng) license.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work at desk computer/phone system.
  • Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lbs.)
  • May be required to be clean-shaven for proper respiratory equipment.
