Job Summary:
Red Games Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and curious Playtester who is passionate about creating exceptional player experiences. The role focuses on evaluating gameplay, identifying issues, validating design decisions, and providing clear feedback to improve game quality.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Play and evaluate games throughout development.
โ€ข Own process, recruiting, test design, reporting and the playtest calendar.
โ€ข Create relationships with broad audiences across schools, afterschool programs, libraries etc.
โ€ข Identify gameplay issues, usability concerns, bugs, balance problems, and areas of player friction.
โ€ข Execute structured test plans and exploratory testing sessions.
โ€ข Provide clear, concise, and actionable written feedback.
โ€ข Document findings and communicate issues with appropriate detail and reproduction steps.
โ€ข Verify fixes and perform regression testing on new builds.
โ€ข Collaborate with designers, producers, artists, engineers, and product teams to improve game quality.
โ€ข Advocate for the player experience while maintaining objectivity and consistency in testing.
โ€ข Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
โ€ข Retaining information analytical learning and key takeaways for leadership.
Qualifications:
