Join a team developing real-time embedded software for flagship networking products. This opportunity provides exposure to platform and application software spanning hardware interfaces, system services, and embedded application development. How you will make an impact:
  • Design, implement, and maintain real-time embedded platform and application software.
  • Develop hardware and software interfaces that bridge abstraction layers.
  • Build fault and alarm subsystems to detect, report, and manage defects.
  • Create system applications for traffic protection, equipment protection, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop platform interfaces that abstract low-level software and hardware components.
The must haves:
  • Education: Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in computer or electrical engineering, computer science, or similar disciplines
  • Experience: Previous internship, co-op, or applied project experience relevant to the role.
  • Coding with C or C++
  • High-level programming and scripting languages such as Python or bash

Pay Range: The annual pay range for this role is $68,800 - $109,800

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
