What is an internship at Ubiquiti?

An Internship at Ubiquiti is a temporary position designed for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the technology industry. Interns typically work on real-world projects alongside experienced professionals in areas such as engineering, product development, or marketing. The program aims to provide valuable learning opportunities, professional growth, and exposure to Ubiquiti’s innovative work culture. Internships can last from a few months to a year, and successful interns may be considered for full-time roles after graduation.

What types of projects and responsibilities can interns at Ubiquiti expect?

You can expect to collaborate with experienced engineers and participate in tasks such as developing and testing software, assisting in hardware prototyping, or contributing to user interface design. The work environment is typically fast-paced and team-oriented, providing interns with opportunities to learn from mentors and see the direct impact of their contributions. Job description

We're hiring a Network Engineer I to help keep our multi-site network running smoothly. You'll work alongside senior engineers, get hands-on with enterprise-scale infrastructure, and build a real foundation for a networking career - without being thrown in at the deep end.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor network systems and respond to alerts, escalating complex issues to senior engineers
  • Support day-to-day maintenance of our WAN/LAN infrastructure and site connectivity
  • Assist with configuration changes, patching, and troubleshooting for switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Keep network documentation and diagrams current
  • Help end users resolve connectivity and hardware issues
  • Triage alerts in tools like DataDog and log recurring issues for senior review

What You'll Bring

  • 0-2 years of hands-on IT or network support experience (internships and personal lab work count)
  • A solid grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, basic routing and switching
  • 0-2 years experience with WiFi, heatmapping, capacity designing and infrastructure design as nice to haves
  • 0-2 years experience with Ubiquiti and Unifi products
  • Comfort following documented procedures and escalation paths
  • Strong communication skills - you'll work directly with end users
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA (or working toward one). Exposure to firewalls, VPNs, or SD-WAN environments is a plus - we'll train you on our stack either way.
  • Ubiquiti URSCA or other Ubiquiti certificates preferred
