Job Summary
The Sales Trainee - Intern position is a short-term, paid internship opportunity designed for college students interested in learning about the metals industry and developing foundational skills in inside sales. This internship provides structured exposure to customer service practices, order management, and general sales operations in a professional, industrial setting. Interns will work closely with experienced Inside Sales Representatives to gain insight into the business and contribute to daily team functions.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a paid internship. Interns are not eligible for company benefits or the Sales Incentive Program. The internship is expected to last no more than 90 days.

Job FunctionEssential Job Duties
- Shadow Inside Sales Representatives and observe how customer relationships are managed.
- Learn how to process customer quotes and orders using internal systems.
- Assist in reviewing product information, pricing, and availability details.
- Participate in department training on company products, services, and industry practices.
- Support sales team members with administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and internal communication.
- Attend sales and operations meetings to observe cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain a professional attitude and a willingness to learn throughout the internship.
- Understand the sales cycle within a metals distribution environment.
- Gain exposure to order management, quoting, and customer service techniques.
- Develop business communication and time management skills.
- Learn industry-specific terminology and sales support practices.
