Activities & Responsibilities
Primary
  • Guests are the number one priority and must be greeted immediately upon entry
  • At all times walk out from behind the host stand toward the guest. When you make eye contact, smile and say, "Hosgeldeniz, welcome to Bosphorous."
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at desirable tables. Always strive to have the guest happy with their table.
  • Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating.
  • Communicate any special requests, celebrations, or other relevant information to the server immediately after seating guest
  • Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.
  • Professionally answer telephone calls with "Thank you for calling Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine location this is name how may I assist you?" and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
  • Properly document large party inquiries and delivery to management for follow-up.
  • Maintain contact with servers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed.
  • Routinely check tables for availability, cleanliness, and proper setup.
  • Maintain cleanliness of host stand and entry area
  • Ensure menu books are clean at all times.
  • Receive and record guests' dining reservations. Obtain first and last name, phone number, and email. Including any special requests, celebrations, server or seating preferences.
  • Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms every 20 minutes.
  • Direct guests waiting to be sat to enjoy a cocktail at the bar or fire pit.
  • WINTER PARK: Maintain constant supply of chicken adana samples and offer to passers-by whenever not actively engaged in other duties.
  • Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed in regard to large parties.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return with a farewell Turkish phrase.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant

  • Take and prepare to-go orders.
  • Promptly and courteously open doors for guests.
  • Inform manager on duty of any seating issues with servers.
  • Maintain running side work (checking the restrooms, cleaning glass windows, host stand, menus, ... ect)
