Are you a motivated college student passionate about shaping the future of transportation infrastructure? Join our team as a Travel Demand Modeling Intern and gain valuable hands-on experience working on impactful projects that influence regional transportation systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct, calibrate, analyze, test, and document inputs for travel demand models.
  • Analyze socioeconomic data, household travel surveys, and origin-destination data under supervision.
  • Assist with model validation against existing conditions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the team in preparing reports and presentations related to transportation modeling projects.
  • Collaborate with professionals across planning, engineering, and data analysis disciplines.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's in Civil Engineering or master's program in Transportation Engineering .
  • Preferred completion of the following courses or similar: CE392H & CRP384 (Urban Transportation Planning - Travel Demand Forecasting), CE 321 (Transportation Systems), and CE 391J (Transportation Planning: Methodology and Techniques).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with transportation modeling concepts and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GIS or transportation modeling software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a keen interest in transportation infrastructure and regional planning.
