    • Experience with TransCAD and Synchro is required
    • Experience with additional modeling software, such as Vistro and PTV Vissim, will also be well received
  • Perform scenario analysis to evaluate infrastructure or policy changes
  • Support forecasting of traffic volumes, congestion, and system performance

Perform Transportation Planning Tasks
  • Conduct traffic analysis for development projects, transportation expansion projects, specific and general plan projects, as well as environmental (CEQA)-related transportation analysis
  • Analyze Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) for transportation projects
  • Involvement in transportation impact analyses and feasibility studies
  • Conduct GIS analysis and mapping, field work, benefit-cost analysis, grant writing, and community engagement

Preparation of Reports & Communication
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations
  • Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, and external stakeholders

The Expertise You'll Bring
  • A mid-level Transportation Planner/Modeler to support data-driven planning and investment decision-making for multimodal transportation systems. This role combines report writing, data analysis, graphics, transportation modeling, and community engagement.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience transportation modeling (TransCAD and Synchro).
  • Familiar with a range of transportation planning tools and software, including GIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • 5+ years of AEC industry experience based on Civil Engineering and/or Transportation Planning projects.
  • Experience and residence in Southern California is highly preferred.
  • Diversified experience with transportation projects involving roadway improvements (including complete streets, multi-modal corridors).
  • Experience working with transportation datasets, travel demand or traffic models, and geospatial tools, and can translate technical analysis into actionable insights for planners, engineers, and stakeholders.
