Job description

Compensation

Salary Range: $37.29 - $51.52 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities

Develops and executes nutrition care plans to optimize patient's nutritional status; educates patients on modified diets if indicated and participates in activities required to meet departmental goals by performing the following duties. 

Qualifications

Required:  

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree of Science in Nutrition 
  • Completion of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved supervised practice program (DPD) 
  • Successful completion of an internship program 
  • Passing the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration proven with a CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration) verification.

Preferred:   

  • Minimum two years clinical dietetics in an acute-care hospital 
  • Specialization in clinical nutrition - e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), or Nutrition Support Specialist.
