Position Overview:

The Head of Risk Technology is responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy that enables Guardian's enterprise risk management capabilities. This role serves as the primary technology partner to Risk leadership, shaping the future vision, roadmap, and operational management of the ServiceNow Risk platform, including Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and related governance and compliance capabilities.

The leader will build strong partnerships across Risk, Digital & Technology and business functions to ensure risk management solutions align with business objectives. The role is accountable for platform strategy, roadmap planning, technology operations, enhancements, delivery governance, vendor management, and continuous improvement of risk technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the multi-year technology vision and roadmap for enterprise risk management platforms.
  • Shape the future of technology-enabled risk management through automation, AI, analytics, and platform innovation.
  • Partner with Risk leadership to align technology investments with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive technology strategy discussions and influence enterprise architecture decisions impacting Risk platforms.
  • Build strong partnerships with executive stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and future needs.
  • Facilitate alignment across business, technology, platform, security, and vendor teams.
  • Lead governance forums, steering committees, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Own the technology strategy and lifecycle management for ServiceNow Risk modules:
    • Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
    • Business Continuity Management (BCM)
    • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
    • Model Risk Management (MRM), where applicable
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow platform team to establish and maintain platform governance, standards, and release management practices.
  • Accountable for day-to-day technology operations supporting ServiceNow Risk solutions.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes associated with risk technology platforms.
  • Manage delivery teams, support resources, and strategic partners to achieve service objectives.
  • Oversee upgrade planning, technical debt reduction, and platform modernization.
  • Lead a blended team of internal resources, contractors, and strategic partners.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of technology leadership experience.
  • Deep experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC platforms and risk management processes.
  • Proven ability to define technology strategy and translate vision into execution.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading complex technology operations and transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk, compliance, governance, and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and strategic vendors.

Salary Range:

$152,290.00 - $250,195.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
