Job description

Indy Eleven internships are available for course credit only. Interns are provided a paid monthly parking stipend but are otherwise unpaid. Positions are less than 30 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit. Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship.
The Graphic Design Intern will play a crucial role in creating digital and print promotional materials for Indy Eleven's teams across the USL Championship, USL W League, and USL Academy League, from conception to completion.
The Graphic Design intern will support our Graphic Designer and Marketing Communications staff in creating marketing and content assets to promote Indy Eleven both on and off the field, and in executing gameday events at Michael A. Carroll Stadium and the Community Health Network Grand Park Events Center.
Responsibilities will include:
โ€ข Designing for and assisting in the operation of in-stadium displays (video boards, LED boards, signage).
โ€ข Digital and print advertising campaign design and development for social media, newsletters, email, paid print ads and other assigned assets as needed.
โ€ข Creation of matchday promotional collateral, including but not limited to posters, programs, social media, and website graphics.
โ€ข Development of static and motion graphics for promotional videos.
โ€ข Digital and print assets for our youth soccer camps and clinics.
โ€ข Other creative design needs as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Must have a laptop capable of processing design programs
โ€ข Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and After Effects is a plus)
โ€ข Willing to learn and be receptive to constructive feedback.
โ€ข A strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals and visual communication principles (i.e. basic layout, grids, typography systems and setting, contrast, hierarchy, figure-ground relationships, etc.)
โ€ข Be detail oriented.
โ€ข Ability to work as a part of a team, including being trusted to work with confidential information
โ€ข Knowledge of the sport of soccer in general and of Indy Eleven are preferred, but not mandatory
โ€ข Flexibility to work select events, which may include some nights and weekends; this will include any home games at Carroll Stadium during the internship
โ€ข Must have own mode of transportation to get to and from office, training facility, and events
โ€ข Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
โ€ข Experience in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Teams) is a plus
โ€ข Bilingual capabilities are a plus
