Job description

JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer 3 – Architecting Requirements & Interfaces
LOCATION: Hazelwood, MO
PAY RATE: $71.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams to support program commitments, deliveries, and customer reviews

  • Apply systems engineering principles to implement, maintain, and improve systems engineering processes

  • Support implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within a digital engineering environment

  • Perform systems engineering activities including:

    • Requirements decomposition and management

    • System architecture development

    • Environmental and system analysis

    • Trade studies and program planning

    • Interface management

    • Risk assessment and mitigation

    • Certification, verification, and test planning

    • Integration support and MBSE model capture

  • Apply collaborative, interdisciplinary engineering approaches to design, develop, and verify complex systems

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of engineering experience

  • 4+ years of systems engineering experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting tactical, defense, mission, or weapon system aircraft development

  • Experience managing software requirements and verification processes

  • Experience supporting verification or certification activities for safety-critical or mission-critical hardware and software systems

  • Experience using MBSE tools such as MSOSA or SysML-based modeling platforms

  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and Confluence
