Job description

Kin is hiring a principal-level individual contributor Product Designer to help make multi-product homeowner experiences cohesive. The role focuses on Kin’s design system, including token architecture, Figma-to-code parity, governance, and adoption across product surfaces. Kin is a remote-first company, and applicants must be able to live and work full-time in one of the listed locations.

What you'll do
  • Use AI tools to audit component libraries and live product experiences for gaps, drift, and inconsistencies
  • Own and drive token architecture across color, typography, spacing, and motion
  • Establish and maintain Figma-to-code parity with engineering
  • Introduce new components and patterns as Kin enters new product domains
  • Define contribution model and governance, including versioning, changelogs, intake, and quality bars
  • Implement automated guardrails to help teams extend the system without fragmentation
  • Build a canonical source of truth for Kin’s design patterns
  • Advocate for accessibility in components using automated testing and AI-assisted audits
