These internships provide valuable exposure to the field, practical skills, and networking opportunities, often serving as a stepping stone for future careers in sports performance or fitness coaching.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an internship summer strength conditioning position?

As an intern in a summer strength and conditioning role, you can expect to assist with setting up and breaking down training equipment, monitoring athlete workouts, and recording performance data. You’ll often support certified coaches during group and individual sessions, help with exercise demonstrations, and ensure that athletes are following proper form and safety protocols. Additionally, interns may participate in staff meetings, engage in educational sessions, and contribute to program design or research projects. This hands-on experience provides valuable insight into the demands and operations of a professional strength and conditioning environment.
